The Department of Conservation advises that there will be ground control of weeds in the following areas: Waioeka Gorge Scenic Reserve, Marawaiwai Scenic Reserve, Oroi Scenic Reserve, Tirohanga Dunes Conservation Area, Huntress Creek Conservation Area, Waiotahe Scenic/Historic Reserves, Ohiwa Scenic Reserve, Oscar Reeves Scenic Reserve, Waiotahe Conservation Area, Kutarere recreation Reserve, Uretara Island Scenic Reserve and Whangakopikopiko Wildlife Refuge Reserve.

The control will be undertaken by approved handlers using best practice methods. Herbicide and additives will be applied at label rates.

Weed control will take place between 17 Dec and 30 June 2019.
