Clean-up week 9th September – 15th September 2019

As part of KNZB (Keep New Zealand Beautiful) National Clean up week, we NEED your help to collect rubbish and clean up our town.

Have you noticed an area full of rubbish? Seen a particular place you thought could use a clean-up? It could be your street, around your workplace, your school field, around your kindergarten, your local park, the beach, the river, the side of the road, anywhere!

Where ever it is, we want your help to clean it up.

What is clean up week?

A nationwide week of multiple clean up events, all put together by keep New Zealand beautiful and the people of New Zealand, in an effort to get rid of litter around our country.

How can you help?

Get together your care group, kindergarten, school, volunteers or even just a bunch of mates who care about cleaning up our town, pick the place you want to clean up and come register with us at the Ōpōtiki i-SITE.

Then what?

We will supply you with your clean up kits or you could also KIT YOUR OWN CLEAN-UP using reusable bins/containers and gloves to collect litter. We will also provide you with anything else you may need for your clean up event.  We can also promote your clean-up effort to the public so they can participate in your event.

And at the end of all of this?

We all get to appreciate a litter free Ōpōtiki! As well as a free thank you BBQ, for all your hard work.
