Whānau Awhi Parent Support Group
The Whanau Awhi Support Group is hosting a welcoming gathering in Opotiki for parents and carers of disabled children, neurodiverse children, or those with health impairments. Participants are invited to enjoy a free coffee while connecting with others who truly understand the unique challenges of their journey.
This gathering offers a safe space for family and whānau to share experiences, discuss challenges, celebrate triumphs, and learn from one another in an open and completely judgement-free environment. No topic is too ‘weird,’ and no question is too ‘out there’—the group is there to provide support.
Whether individuals want to share a struggle, celebrate a success, raise a concern, or simply enjoy a cuppa and chat with fellow parents and carers, they are always welcome. Children are encouraged to join as well!
Attendees can drop in for as long or as short a time as they wish. There’s no need to RSVP; they can simply show up on the day and enjoy great conversations over free coffee.
The Whanau Awhi Support Group looks forward to seeing everyone there!
