Welcome to Motu River Jet Boat Tours, Opotiki.
We offer you an exhilarating 1.5 hour experience of awesome jet boating on the Motu River just 30 minutes from Opotiki or our Motu Matahina River Jet at the Matahina Dam. The Motu Jet Boat Tour offers access into some of New Zealand's most remote and unaltered native forests which is rarely viewed. Our experienced guides provide commentary on the ecological and historical value of the river, with the added excitement of the adventure and wilderness when jet boating on the Motu River. We also offer Hunting & Rafting Drop Offs for those that wish to travel off the beaten track.
Bookings are essential as we have minimum number of passengers required for each trip.

Hunting Jet Boat Tours
Red Deer, Wild Pig and Goat live within the Raukumara ranges. There is Jet Boat drop-off with a Raft out or Jet Boat pick-up.
Firearms licenses EPIRB required.
The best time for hunting Deer is our spring (Sept - Dec)
Hunting Wild Pig is best in the Winter months. (May - Aug)

Rafting Drop Offs
Take your family on an exciting jet boat ride up the Motu River to a drop-off point then quietly drift & paddle your way back down to the Motu River Bridge. A great family activity.

Motu Matahina River Jet
Experience Our NEW Matahina Jet Boat Tour. The Matahina Jet Boat Tour is extremely exhilarating, we can accommodate up to 9 passengers on our larger boat or 6 on our smaller boat, we recommend you book ahead so you don't miss out - especially in the peak months October through to April. Please note that both boats operate separately with one driver, based on how many passengers are on the boat.
We have minimum number requirement for some of our departures so please ensure you enter a contact phone number or email address where we can contact you should we need to reschedule your departure at all.
We require a minimum of 2 passengers.
